Frequently asked admissions questions
Most admissions queries should be answered below.

However, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact the school office.

At what age can my child join the school?

The majority of pupils join us in either Year R or in Year 7.  However, if we have availability, we are happy to accept pupils into other year groups.

Will my child have to pass an examination to be accepted for a place?

We are a non selective school but do ask that all prospective pupils, other than those for year R, come for a taster day.  Prospective Year R pupils are invited to a number of events during the summer term before starting in September.

How do I apply for a place?

We highly recommend that you visit the school prior to making a formal application for a place. This might be at one of our Open Mornings, School in Action Days, or alternatively by making an appointment to see the Headteacher.

Once you have visited us and met with the Headteacher, the next stage is to arrange a taster day at a mutually convenient time. Assuming that this is successful for both the pupil and the school the next stage is to complete an application form and make payment of the £50 registration fee.

Once your child has been accepted into the school a £1000 deposit is payable either 6 months before your child is due to start or, for casual admissions, as soon as the place is agreed.

Is transport available to and from school?

We do not currently offer transport to and from school but are happy to help parents contact each other for lift shares.

Is there before and after school provision?

We run a Breakfast Club for years R to year. Sessions run from 8:00am until the start of school every morning during term time. The cost is £3.00 per session and includes breakfast and activities. Places are limited so this operates on a first come first served basis.

We do not offer an after school club on site, but have links with The Hub in Eastleigh who offer an after school sports club and who will collect pupils aged 7 – 12 from the school.  This is by pre-arrangement between The Hub and parent.

Other Costs

All pupils from Year 3 to Year 9 participate in a residential Activity Week for 3 to 5 days during the Summer Term.  This is an invaluable experience, allowing students to develop independence as they embrace new challenges, whilst having plenty of fun!  The venues and costs vary from year to year. Please contact the office for further information.

Examination fees are payable for GCSEs.
